Scapex in Gujarat
Scapex Foundation is registered in Gujarat, run from Ahmedabad, and works only in Gujarat. Not a branch of a national organisation — a Gujarat organisation, which is why our first phase is twelve blocks and not twelve states.
An honest status note. Scapex was incorporated in 2025. The programme design, the blocks and the targets below are approved and funded plans for FY 2025–26, not results already achieved. Nothing on this page is a claim about work completed. When there are results, they will appear on the Impact page with the baseline they are measured against — including the cohorts where the indicator did not move.
Why only Gujarat
Depth in one state beats presence in fifteen
Most national NGOs run a page for every state. We looked at what that produces: a handful of staff covering enormous geographies, and a donor who cannot actually visit the work. Scapex does the opposite — one state, a dozen blocks, and an office you can reach by road from Ahmedabad in an afternoon.
It also means the things that decide whether a programme works here are things we can actually know: which taluka the migration season empties, which schools have a functioning WASH block, which gram panchayat will co-sign a site. That knowledge does not travel, and it is the reason we are not trying to make it.

Any donor giving above ₹25,000, and every CSR partner, can visit a site on reasonable notice. We do not stage visits — you see the centre on an ordinary working day.

After-school centres grouping children by assessed reading and arithmetic level, not by the class they are enrolled in.
Skills & livelihoods
Six-to-twelve week tracks mapped to NSQF levels, built with Gujarat employers who have actual vacancies.
Women & child welfare
Self-help groups with bookkeeping support and buyer introductions — the model Gujarat itself invented through SEWA and the dairy cooperatives.

School screening for vision, anaemia and growth, tracked to treatment rather than counted at the camp gate.

Recharge structures and school WASH blocks, with a green-jobs track in rooftop-solar maintenance.

Elderly day care, assistive devices and placement for people with disabilities, disaster preparedness, animal welfare.

CSR partners in Gujarat
If your CSR spend has to land in Gujarat, a Gujarat-registered Section 8 company with 12A and 80G already in place is a shorter route than a national NGO's state desk. We design against Schedule VII heads, agree a cohort and a cost per outcome before the first tranche, and issue quarterly utilisation certificates.
